WPD Ambulance is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our expanding organization. WPD Ambulance serves the community of Lloydminster, North Battleford, and Rosthern as well as numerous surrounding communities. As a progressive ALS service, WPD Ambulance responds to a large variety of calls.
Work hours: 40 to 42 hours / week
Term of Employment: Permanent, Full time
Employment conditions: On call, Overtime, Day, Night, Weekend, Shifts

Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent
Experience: 1 to 2 years
Ability to Supervise: Staff in various areas of responsibility.
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's License
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling.

Specific Skills: Assess extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment, Administer pre-hospital emergency care, Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care, Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided, Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies.
Work Setting: Private ambulance company
Credentials: CMA Accredited Advance Paramedic Course, Ambulance driver's license (Saskatchewan Class 4 driver license), Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate, CPR Certificate
Specific Credentials: Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Ability to register with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
